How often should you have your carpets cleaned?

Major carpet manufacturers such as Dupont and Shaw industries recommend that you have your carpets professionally steam cleaned every 6 – 18 months.

Considerations that will affect your own decision regarding frequency of cleaning are: number and ages of children, soiling conditions, humidity, smoking habits, health status of occupants, allergy conditions, number and type of pets and the types of activities being conducted.  Heavily travelled areas may require 6 monthly cleaning, whereas less frequented areas may not need cleaning for 18 months.

We use a truck-mounted unit to do this, which is more effective than smaller, portable units that are brought into your home. This is because our extraction method heats up water to a higher temperature and uses a higher pressure to break up dirt, oil, bacteria, chemicals and pollens in your carpet.

Dry Cleaning - We also appreciate that there are some consumers, who for a variety of reasons, cannot or do not wish to have their carpets steam-cleaned yet require a first-class quality cleaning process to ensure the sanitation and cleanliness of their carpets.
